CCM(x) multithreaded ?

is there hope for CCM(x) to be multi threaded in the nearby future?


for the moment due to the slow decompression i compress files with both CCM and CCMx. For the files that are about the same size i keep the CCM version because of the faster decompression.

Since i have quad core doing two encodes at the same time does not slow down the work.

However the person doing decompression doesn't have as much patience as me so if CCMx decompression could be multi threaded to speed it up it would be NICE.


But i have no idea if the CCM(x) algorithms its easy or difficult to make multi threaded. Does anybody know ?

There could be some speedup, but rather minor. Matt explained it here
